August 2009 - Anderson, Indiana based production company, Colorfully Dark Productions, has wrapped principal photography on its third feature film, Leach. Most of the film was shot in the Anderson, Indiana area in June. Additional scenes were filmed at a variety of locations around central and northern Indiana.
Writer/director John Taylor is at the helm of his third feature film, following Promenade (2007) and Brainwrap (2008). Leach is being co-produced by 3 O’clock Productions, also out of Anderson.
The film stars Jim Dougherty (Fire From Below) as Wes, a recovering alcoholic, who finds himself thrust into a situation that threatens his life and the lives of his family. Also starring in the film are Thomas J. Smith (Brainwrap) of PA and Libby McDermott (Hannah Montana, Brainwrap) of Nashville, TN.
Many of the supporting cast members are from the Central Indiana area. Local actors include James Copeland, Randy DeFord, Leland Franklin, Gemma Gould-Dougherty, Jim Hunter, Raymond Kester, Mitch Ross, Adam Shephard, Larna Smith, Martin Stapleton, Johnathon Taylor, Rhonda Tinch-Mize, and Tara Tremaine.
